Virginia "Jean" T. (Bosio) Lovallo

Torrington, Connecticut

Virginia T. “Jean” (Bosio) Lovallo, of Torrington, CT, passed into eternal life on June 26, 2022, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of William M. Lovallo, who she married on December 13, 1952.

She was born in Torrington on October 23, 1932, to the late Edward and Mary (Yurchick) Bosio. She was a communicant of St. Peter Church, and she sang in their choir for about 23 years. She belonged to the Mother’s Club and Parent’s Club of St. Peter School. She was involved as a Brownie Leader for St. Peter School and belonged to the Catholic Counsel of Women. She loved sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking and entertaining, especially for her family and friends. She also loved hosting holidays for her family.

Jean is survived by her children, five daughters, Diane Trivella of Torrington, Karen and her husband Lou Casinghino of Suffield, Linda and her husband John Wrenn, Jr. of New Milford, Nancy and her husband Bryan Canfield of Granby, and Susan and her husband Mike Zordan of New Hartford and one son, Bill Lovallo and his wife Shellie of Belmont, MA. She also has eleven grandchildren: Michael DePaolo and his wife Nicky of Wakefield, MA, Lisa L’italien and her husband Corey of Groveland, MA, John Wrenn, III and his wife Sarah of Long Island, Jennifer Wrenn Barrett and her husband Jason of New Milford, Bryanna, Hanna, Rebecca and Ella Canfield of Granby, Mikayla and Madelyn Zordan of New Hartford, and Sarah Lovallo of Belmont, MA. She has six great grandchildren, Duke and Ruby DePaolo, Jackson and Lilly Barrett and Andrew and Evan Wrenn. She has three step grandchildren, Carl Casinghino and his wife Alexandra of Suffield, Brian Casinghino and his wife Heather of Suffield, Lori Casinghino and her wife Bernadette Kenny of Milton, MA. She also has five step-great-grandchildren: Matteo, Lucie, Vincent, Anna, and Daniel Casinghino of Suffield. Jean was predeceased by her sister, Rose Hart, her granddaughter Clara Lillian Canfield and her great-granddaughter January Angel DePaolo. Jean was also survived by her brother Edward Bosio and his wife Arlene, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Paul the Great Parish, 160 Main St., Torrington, CT 06790, or to St. John Paul the Great Academy, 360 Prospect St., Torrington, CT or to the Lupus Foundation of America, or to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation of America.
