Stephen Stagner

Stephen Stagner, 80, of Winsted, CT, peacefully passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Mary-Anne (Julian) Stagner.

Steve was born March 19, 1942, in Dallas, TX, the son of the late Jack and Virginia (Fraley) Stagner.  He was employed by AT&T with telecommunications for 35 years, until his retirement.

In addition to his wife Mary-Anne, he is survived by two sons, Sean Stagner and his wife Sandra of Goffstown, NH, Sean Frederick Coon and his wife Sophia of Athens, Greece; one daughter, Stephanie Pierce of Lindenhurst of Long Island, NY; one brother, George Robertson and his wife Diane of Arizona aswell as four grandchildren, Ryan, Erik, Giorgos, and Marianna. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Anastasio.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 30, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
