Sandra A. (Cisco) Colangelo

Sandra A. (Cisco) Colangelo, 79, of Harwinton, CT, peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of Frank Colangelo for 51 years.

Sandy was born August 1, 1940 in Torrington, CT, the daughter of John and Angelina (Leoni) Cisco.  She was employed by Region 6 as a school teacher and H&R Block as a Tax Consultant.  She was a member of the Milton Woman’s Club and the Milton Public Hall Association.  She volunteered at The Warner Theatre, the Litchfield Hills Road Race for 25 years where she also served on the race committee, the Litchfield Hills Historical Automobile Club, and at the Pop-Up Store which benefited the Prime Time House in Torrington.  She enjoyed travel and playing golf with her husband and was a member of the Torrington Country Club.

In addition to her husband Frank she is survived by two sons, Frank Colangelo and his wife Margaret of Preston, CT, John Colangelo and his wife Jennifer of Harwinton, CT; three grandchildren, Giacomo, Nicolo, Betty; one nephew, Michael Colangelo; one niece, Jean Orawiec, as well as numerous cousins and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Silvio “Sid” Colangelo.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019, with the cortege leaving at 11:00 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Anthony of Padua Church (St. Louis de Montfort Parish) 49 South St., Litchfield, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will be held at Baldwin Hill Cemetery at the family’s convenience.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
