Salvatore L. Perugini, 68, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away at Hartford Hospital on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. He was the husband of Cynthia “Cindy” Pezze for 40 years.
Sal was born June 21, 1954, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Angelo and Ann (Cammilletti) Perugini. He owned and operated Hobby & Trophy World. Sal had an unmistakable smile that lit up every room. His dedication and love for his family was paramount and his heart was a mile wide. Sal truly loved his fellow man and was an amazing friend, mentor, and a blessing for so many people. He cherished his days on the water searching for fish with friends. Sal built communities over his storied life that brought people together and made the world a better place.
In addition to his wife Cindy, he is survived by one daughter, Michelle Perugini Palance and her husband Nick of Torrington; his step-mother, Norma Perugini of Waterbury; three sisters, Carol Grinvalsky of Torrington, Lynn Hatfield of Wolcott, CT, Tracy Perugini of Rocky Hill, CT; one brother Jamie St. Pierre of Torrington; one granddaughter, Charlee Ann Palance, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Francis of Assisi Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish), 160 Main St., Torrington, CT for The Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, January 8 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
