Rosemary B. (Matthews) Satzuk

Rosemary B. (Matthews) Satzuk, 92, of Torrington, CT, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020, at Valerie Manor.  She was the wife of the late Gregory G. Satzuk.

Rosemary was born October 22, 1927, in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of James and Helen (Johnson) Matthews.  She was employed by Mutual of New York in the Processing Department until her retirement.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Nichol and her husband Jim of Torrington, CT; one granddaughter, Jessica Nichol of Manhattan, NY; one sister, Theresa Furrer of Broad Channel, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Winifred Miccio, Margaret Giblin; four brothers, William Matthews, Edward Matthews, Frank Matthews, Joseph Matthews; three half-sisters, Annie Garapola, Ruthie Ayers, Lollie Costigan and three half-brothers, Edward Matthews, Jimmy Matthews, Arthur Matthews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020, with the cortege leaving at 11:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. Maron’s Church, 613 Main St., Torrington for the Divine Liturgy of Resurrection at 12:00 noon.  Burial will be private.  Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning, January 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
