Rose E. (Pesce) Zabbara
November 11, 1935 ~ November 29, 2023 (age 88) 88 Years Old
Rose (Pesce) Zabbara, 88, of Winchester, CT passed away peacefully on
November 29, 2023. Rose was born in Torrington, CT the daughter of Aniello and Ines (Strona)
Rosie was known for her eye for fashion and emulated her talent during the days when she managed/buyer for both Reibman’s & Gazebo clothing stores in downtown Torrington during the 70’s & 80’s. She ended her working career retiring from Alco Manufacturing as a line foreman. Rosie was also known for her beautiful grinder creations. She always was feeding both Torrington & Winsted city workers, co-workers at Alco while they were on the job. We believe the city workers prolonged the job in front of her home just so they can keep on getting the yummy grinders from her. She also took pride of her Calla Lilly Cantor flowers which bloomed every Spring/Summer at her home in which passersby enjoyed year after year.
Rose is survived by two sons, Nicholas and wife Patty Zabbara of Torrington, her son Christopher Zabbara of Winsted. She leaves two granddaughters, Mareesa Fabiaschi and husband Matthew, Talia Zabbara and Fiancé Christopher Bachand, two great granddaughters, Avery Rose and Sofia Marie as well as several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by four brothers and one sister and the love of her life Bob Corey of over 40 years.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Cook Funeral Home of Torrington has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to St. Maron Church, 613 Main Street, Torrington, CT 06790. To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.cookfuneralhomect.com
