Paula M. (Descoteaux) Kelly

Paula M. (Descoteaux) Kelly, 75, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 15, 2018.  She was the beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Kelly.

Paula was born October 16, 1942, in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Henry and Germaine (Rousseau) Descoteaux.  She graduated from the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and was employed by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  She was an active communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and a member of the bereavement committee for St. John Paul the Great Parish.

She is survived by two sons, John Kelly and Sean Kelly, both of Torrington; one daughter, Michele Kelly of Griswold, CT; two brothers, Albert Descoteaux and Robert Descoteaux both of Florida; four sisters, Susan Hudak of Florida, Michele Forte of Florida; Janet DeAngelo of Torrington, Lisa Descoteaux of Florida; four grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob and Liam Kelly, Autumn Gwiazdowski, as well as many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Descoteaux.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
