Morse A. Galitello

Torrington, Connecticut

Morse A. Galitello, 92, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away in the presence of his five children on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Trude (Volland) Galitello.

Morse was born September 10, 1930, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Michael and Philomena (Amicone) Galitello.  He served his country with the U. S. Air Force for twenty years and was honorably discharged during August of 1971.  He was employed by Martin Marrietta as an electronic engineer, until his retirement.  He enjoyed writing poetry and was proud of the limericks he wrote that were published in the Saturday Evening Post.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas Galitello of San Diego, CA, Christopher Contant-Galitello of Coconut Creek, FL; three daughters, Andrea Antczak of Munich, Germany, Dr. Robin Hieblinger of Munich, Germany, Stephanie Gebhart of Weyarn, Germany; one brother, Michael Galitello of Torrington, CT; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Veteran’s final honors will be accorded at graveside services to be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 76 Walnut St., Torrington, CT 06790.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Veterans Administration and/or the Advent Christian Church of Torrington.
