Elena (Tamburrino) Cerboni

Elena (Tamburrino) Cerboni, 82, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Francesco Cerboni.

Elena was born April 28, 1938, in Tolve, Potenza, Italy, the daughter of the late Michelangelo and Elvira (Gianelli) Tamburrino.  She was a seamstress employed by Commercial Sewing until her retirement.

She is survived by two sons, Massimo Cerboni and his wife Karen of Tampa, FL, Marco Cerboni and his wife Andrea of Torrington, CT; one daughter, Laura Loyot of Torrington, CT; one brother, Louis Tamburrino of Hyannis, MA; one sister, Anna Magnin of Lausanne, Switzerland; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Harvest Baptist Church, 1440 Litchfield Turnpike, New Hartford, CT 06057.  A calling hour will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Harvest Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends attending the services are reminded to follow CDC recommendations for COVID prevention, including social distancing and wearing face masks.

Due to the COVID restrictions, a celebration of Elena’s life will be held at a later date.
