Dolores (Markevich) Finnie

Dolores (Markevich) Finnie, 93, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Hartford Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Dr. Jerold M. Finnie.

Dolores was born March 17, 1928, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Anthony C. and Bernice (Daraskevich) Markevicius.  She worked with her husband as a Registered Nurse in his office for 65 years.  Dolores was an avid tennis player and a member of the Pinewoods Racquet Club for many years.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 160 Main St., Torrington, CT.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury, CT.   There are no calling hours.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Francis Church, and are reminded to follow CDC requirements in wearing protective face masks.
