Colby James Montanez, born February 1, 2021, in Torrington, CT, the five month old son of Rylee DePaul and Tyler Montanez of Torrington, CT, died July 4, 2021.
His life was a brief gift for us, one that we will hold in our hearts until we meet again. A beautiful baby boy with bright blue eyes and a smile that touched your heart. His favorite things to do were to play and laugh with his sister, eat, and snuggle with anyone who held him; especially at night with his mom and dad. Colby’s time here on earth may have been short but the unconditional love and joy he brought to his family will remain and last forever. He was a breath of fresh air, and loved more than words can say.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his big sister, Maleah Montanez; maternal grandparents Tina DePaul of Torrington, CT. Gary DePaul Jr of Torrington, CT. Great-Grandparents Alma Peveri (Cremasco) of Torrington, CT, Gary & Pamela DePaul Sr. of Torrington CT; paternal grandparents James & Candy Maccione(Montanez) of Torrington, CT. Oscar Montanez of Hartford, CT. Great-Grandparents Gerard Adams of Torrington, CT. Gerald Maccione Sr. of Northfield, CT. Ronald & Linda Bradshaw of Torrington, CT. Beverly Montanez of Middletown, CT, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandfather, Joseph Peveri of Torrington, CT, and paternal great grandmother Ethel Buzzell of Torrington, CT.
Private funeral services were entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
