Carmela M. (Ciriello) Crameri

Torrington, CT

Carmela M. (Ciriello) Crameri, 86, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Litchfield Woods.  She was the beloved wife of Thomas E. Crameri.

Carmela (Babe) was born August 24, 1933, in Torrington.  She was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Catherine (Sileo) Ciriello.  She worked at the YMCA and Milo’s as a bookkeeper and later retired from Dr. D’Angelo’s office where she was a secretary and bookkeeper.  She was a devout catholic and enjoyed making prayer shawls for St. Peter Church.  She also enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, baking and weekly family dinners.  She enjoyed going to Cape Cod Christmas Tree shopping.  Mom loved spending time with family and friends the most.

Carmela was predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas E. Crameri.

She leaves behind two sons, Mark Crameri and his wife Kari of Thomaston, Daniel Crameri of Torrington: one daughter, Catherine Lamson, and her husband Allen of Harwinton, and one grandson Connor Lamson, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Ciriello and James Ciriello and one sister, Nancy Martinek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 3, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, and will also be live streamed on Facebook.  Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.    Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Peter Church.   All attending the funeral are reminded to follow CDC recommendations for COVID prevention -- please follow social distancing guidelines and wear protective masks during the Mass as well as at the committal service.  There are no calling hours.
