Wayne Gnazzo

Wayne Gnazzo, 82, of Torrington, CT, passed away on August 24, 2026, leaving behind a space that can never be filled.

Born on October 13, 1943, in Torrington, CT to his parents Nicholas and Ida Gnazzo, he lived his entire life in his hometown. Wayne was meticulous with everything that he did and owned, especially his various automobiles. Over the years he has owned some exotic motorcars. He enjoyed his times with his friends and neighbors as they were all very special to him. He was an avid sports fan with his favorite by far being the UConn Women’s basketball teams. He traveled to many venues and Final Fours to cheer them on with great enthusiasm.

Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Richard Gnazzo.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Cemetery, 236 East Pearl St., Torrington, CT. Those attending should meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours. Cook Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral services.
