Walter W. Czapor, 80, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Torsiello) Czapor.
Walter was born August 4, 1940, in Torrington, Connecticut, the son of the late Walter K. and Mable D. (Conforti) Czapor. He was employed by S.N.E.T. as an engineer until his retirement.
Walter was an avid golfer and sports fan, especially of UCONN basketball. He also was a longtime little league coach and started the Instructional League.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his daughter, Kristine (Czapor) Thurston and her husband Steven of Barkhamsted, CT; his son, Jeffrey Czapor and his wife Pamela of Goshen, CT; his sister Shirley (Czapor) Raffaele of Englewood Cliffs, NJ; his sister Lorraine (Czapor) Brown of Waterbury, CT; four grandchildren, Eric Czapor, Amanda Czapor, Sara Thurston, and Erin Thurston, as well as several nieces and nephews. Walter was predeceased by his brother, Karl W. Czapor, and by his sister, Veronica (Czapor) Tofield.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
