Stacey R. Hatfield

Stacey R. Hatfield 83, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Jewell) Hatfield.

Stacey was born August 1, 1940, in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Robert and Melvie (Guite) Hatfield. He served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, and owned Hatfield Jewelers for over 20 years.  He enjoyed traveling, pencil sketching, and baking the best scones ever!

In addition to his wife, Deborah, he is survived by one son, Robert Hatfield of New Hartford, CT; stepsons, Darren Mattson (Sheri) of Bristol, CT, Daniel Mattson (Kristy) of West Suffield, CT; one sister, Melvie Hatfield of Winsted, CT; grandchildren, Becca Hatfield, Evan Mattson, Finley Mattson, and Calli Mattson.

A celebration of Stacey’s life will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Center Congregational Church, 155 Main St., Torrington, CT.  There are no calling hours.
