Our hearts are broken as we share that our beloved Sherri Duffy Franceschetti passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025.
Sherri was the heart of her family — a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend whose love and warmth filled every moment of our lives. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and cared for, and she carried that same kindness with her wherever she went.
Born in Torrington, CT on June 1, 1952, Sherri lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and deep compassion. Sherri was an active and vibrant person who loved taking walks and engaging in heartfelt conversations. She also cherished capturing special moments by taking pictures. Sherri loved baking, cooking, crafting, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. Her boundless love and creativity shone through during gatherings and holidays, which she made unforgettable, especially with her delicious homemade treats. Her smile could light up any room, and her hugs had a way of making everything feel okay.
Sherri is the daughter of the late Thomas James Duffy and Ruth Lockwood Duffy.
She leaves behind her sons, Jerry (Tiffany) and David (Janelle) Franceschetti; her beloved grandchildren, Weston, Cole and Caleb Franceschetti; her sister Donna Chausse; her niece Michelle Delaney (Danny); her great nephews Riley, Tucker and Sawyer Delaney; and many loving family members and dear friends who were like family. Though she is no longer with us, her love will forever live in our hearts.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where loved ones may gather to pay their respects at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT. Her family will miss her more than words can ever express — her laughter, her wisdom, her kindness, and the way she made every day a little brighter. Though our lives will never be the same without her, we find comfort in knowing that her beautiful spirit will always be with us.
