Torrington, CT

Samuel R. Blouin, of Torrington, CT passed away at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on July 14, 2026.

Sam was born on November 10, 1998, to Lauren (Meyer) Lagace of Terryville, CT and to the late Philip Blouin. He was employed by Gengras Subaru with the Auto Detailing Department.

Sam, along with his father and grandfather, shared a love of airplanes and flying. Sam was studying to become a pilot, with the goal of becoming a commercial pilot. He had logged in many flight hours and was close to obtaining his private pilot license.

Sam also had many passions. He shared a love of history with his grandfather and enjoyed exploring old railroad lines and old roads and towns with his grandfather, father, mother, and brother. He loved to cook and made so many amazing dishes. The family could always count on him to bring a unique and professionally prepared dish to all of the family functions. Taking after his father, Sam was very handy. He could fix almost anything. He maintained everything around the house and all of his vehicles, as well as his mother’s. Sam was a very loving grandson and always enjoyed going next door to build puzzles or play games with his Grandma. He also enjoyed spending time with his Nana- planting flowers, helping her put up her Christmas tree, and teaching her how to play pool.

Sam was a very loving, thoughtful, and generous son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend and will be so dearly missed. In addition to his mother, Lauren, he is survived by his brother, Stephen Blouin of Torrington, his maternal grandmother, Jean Meyer, of Southbury, CT, his second family, Paul, Denise, Nicholas, and Emily Poulin, his devoted “stepdad”, Michael Lagace, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time. A private celebration of life will be held with the family at a later date.
