Rose (Paradiso) Lombardo

Rose (Paradiso) Lombardo, 92, of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Litchfield Woods. She was the beloved wife of the late Baldassare “Benny” Lombardo.
Rose was born December 14, 1923, in Castellammare Del Golfo, Italy, daughter of the late Guiseppe and Francesca (Asaro) Paradiso. She was employed by Hemingway Box Company until her retirement. She loved to cook and spend time with her family, however, her most joy came from baking Italian cookies.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph Lombardo (Lorraine) of Mesa, Arizona, Francis Lombardo (Kathy) of Torrington, CT, Peter Lombardo (Paula) of Del Ray Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Joseph Lombardo, Bryan Lombardo, Katrina Potter, Jeff Lombardo; seven great grandchildren, Devon Lombardo, Delilah Lombardo, Dominic Potter, Isabella Potter, Cassidy Lombardo, Bruno Lombardo, Brody Lombardo, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
