Rosalie E. (Starnes) Piontkewicz

Rosalie (Starnes) Piontkewicz, beloved wife of 65 years to Charles Piontkewicz, passed away on Friday (December 9, 2022) at her home with her family by her side.

Rosalie was born in Kermit, TX, on June 28, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Walter and Frances (Mooney) Starnes. Rosalie's strength and courage carried her through years of vigorously battling breast cancer. A longtime Torrington resident Rosalie was a proud member of the Women's Club and an enthusiastic Avon seller. She was a fun-loving Grandma who did anything to put a smile on her grandchildren's faces. She even learned to play video games so she could challenge them. She will be remembered for her award-winning apple pie, her love of gardening, and her fishing adventures in Cape Cod. Rosalie adored her family and took care of everyone. She found the good in people and loved chatting with anybody.

Besides her husband Charles, Rosalie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Dean and Carolyn Piontkewicz, of Goshen; a daughter; Christine Bilosz, of Draper, Utah; three grandchildren; Jeremy and Rachel Piontkewicz, of Goshen and Caitlin Bilosz, of Draper, Utah; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers; Dorce and Lonnie, and two sisters; Juanita and Delores.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral on Wednesday between 12:00 noon and 1:00
