Ronnie M. (Patrick) Klonoski

June 18, 1925 — June 7, 2014

Veronica Martha Klonoski (Torrington), known as Ronnie, passed away surrounded by her family.  A week shy of her 89th birthday, Ronnie lived independently until her brief final illness.  She was a beloved wife for 50 years, as well as a Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.  Ronnie was the daughter of Albert and Veronica (Yagtek) Patrick.  Her life’s work was caring for her husband, her four adopted children, and later her grandchildren.  She was never happier than when her family needed her.  When she had free time, she loved to read, knit, and solve puzzles.

Ronnie was pre-deceased by husband Edward C. Klonoski and her sister Margaret Vrabec.  She is survived by her son Ed Klonoski and his wife Angela of Bristol, her daughter Karen Klonoski and her partner Michele Lepper of Burlington, her son Dennis Klonoski and his wife Patti of Torrington, and her daughter Kristine Klonoski of Tampa, Florida.  In addition, she is survived by her twin grandchildren Jeremy Wheeler of East Hampton and Jennifer Osterby and her husband Pete of Jacksonville, Florida, Erin Cornell and her wife Nicole of Collinsville, Shannon Klonoski of Torrington, and Mitchell and Dyllon Calandro of Cheshire.  She is also survived by one great grandchild, Madison Parsons of Jacksonville and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to thank the Hospice at Home program of the VNS and the 5 th floor staff of the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for the care they provided Ronnie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 11, 2014, at 11 AM at St. Peter Church in Torrington.  Calling hours are from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Cook Funeral Home before the Mass.  Burial will be at the St. Peter’s Cemetery on East Pearl Street immediately following the Mass.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers mourners send contributions to St. Peter Church in Torrington or the Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut (VNS).  Condolences may be sent to Ronnie’s family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com
