Robert H. Taylor

Robert H. Taylor, 80, of Torrington, CT, passed away on April 17, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Joann (Graziani) Taylor of Torrington, CT.

Bob was born on June 24, 1945, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of the late Harold and Mary Elizabeth (Holmes) Taylor. Bob proudly served his country as a member of the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a graduate of Wesleyan University and retired as a Project Manager with the American Floor Covering. Bob acquired many interests throughout his life, including fishing and political science, and was known for his expansive knowledge of music, especially his love of The Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan, which he began listening to in the 60s and never stopped.

He is survived by his two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Taylor of Stratford, CT, and Leann Mitchell of Torrington, CT; a sister, Linda Rohm of Madison, WI. He was also a very proud grandfather of his three grandchildren, Nathanial Wilcox, Rhys Wilcox, Adley Mitchell, and "Uncle Bob" of several nieces and nephews.

Services to honor Robert H. Taylor’s life will be arranged privately and have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
