Rita M. (Cerchia) Bonasera, 94, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Angelo Bonasera.
Rita was one of fifteen siblings, born October 11, 1927, in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Riley) Cerchia. She was employed by the State of Connecticut with the Department of Mental Retardation until her retirement.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda DiMauro and Donna Bonasera, both of Torrington; three sisters, Sue Adavosio, Gloria DeVito, Dorothy Patti, all of New York; one sister-in-law, Gloria Siddell; two grandchildren, Angela Sieller and husband Jason and David DiMauro and wife Marissa; four great grandchildren, Jack and Ella Sieller; Josie and David James DiMauro; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
