Richard A. Jernigan, 80, of Torrington, CT, passed away July 24, 2023, at Valerie Manor. He was the husband of the late Judith Ann (Lemme) Jernigan.
Richard was born January 21, 1943, in Logan, UT, the son of the late David and Mildred (Baskerville) Jernigan. He was employed by the State of Connecticut as a Case Manager until his retirement.
He is survived by one son, Keith Jernigan of Torrington, CT; one daughter, Sandra Phair of Torrington, CT; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 76 Walnut St., Torrington, CT.
