Richard T. Carbone

Richard T. Carbone, 72, of Torrington, CT, died Friday, August 18, 2017.  He was the beloved husband of Yvette (LaBrecque) Carbone for 52 years.

Richard was born October 18, 1944, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Patsy and Anne (Nero) Carbone.  He was employed by O & G Industries as a truck driver with the Concrete Division for 42 years, until his retirement.  He was a member of the Torrington Elk’s Lodge #372.  A kind, compassionate, and funny man, Richard was a loving husband and dad devoted to his family and friends. He was loyal, dependable, and the kind of guy who would do anything for anyone. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donald Carbone (Colleen) and Darren Carbone (Lynn) both of West Hartford, CT; a daughter Dana Bertuglia (Paul) of Watertown, CT; a sister, Patricia Bredice (Allan) of Torrington; a brother-in-law, Raymond LaBrecque of Harwinton; a sister-in-law Dorothy Domingue (Donald) of Torrington; seven grandchildren, Severino, Alessandro, Maya, Lexi and Zoe Carbone, Raegan and Gavin Bertuglia; two step grandchildren, Falyne Driver and Marren Collier, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Jeannine Racz.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017, with the cortege leaving at 11:00 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Francis Church, 160 Main St., Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
