Peter E. Kowalski

Peter E. Kowalski, 80, of Walhalla, SC, and formerly of Sandy Hook, CT, passed away January 26, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Blanche (Kulikowski) Kowalski.

Peter was born June 7, 1941, in Derby, CT, the son of the late Edward and Jennie (Rzasa) Kowalski. A plumber by trade, he owned and operated Kowalski Plumbing. He enjoyed working in his vegetable gardens and he loved all animals having several pets throughout the years.

In addition to his wife Blanche, he is survived by four children, Marie Barbieri and her husband Sal of Torrington, CT, Wayne Kowalski and his wife Sage of Washington, CT, and Eric Caminiti and his wife Katie, Tina Caminiti; three brothers, Jerry, Joseph, Gene Kowalski; one sister, Carol Martino; grandchildren, Resa and Anthony Barbieri, Christopher, Matthew, Luke and Jack Caminiti, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one brother, George Kowalski.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home. All attending funeral services are requested to wear protective face masks while inside of Cook Funeral Home.
