Peter Jacobs

Peter R. Jacobs, 87, of Harwinton, CT, died August 12, 2026, at UConn Medical Center.  He was the husband of Eleanor (Flynn) Jacobs.

Peter was born February 19, 1939, in Winsted, CT, the son of the late Rudolph and Evelyn (Madin) Jacobs.  He enlisted with the U.S. Navy in 1957 and served his country on the destroyer Kenneth O. Bailey, honorably discharged in 1963.  He was employed by Bruderhoff Community, Guida Seibert Dairy and Rapid Transport as a driver.

In addition to his wife Eleanor, he is survived by Jeffrey Jacobs of New Hartford, CT, Laurie Jassen of Winsted, CT, Susan Moore of Ponte Vedra Florida; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Harry.
