Paul F. Kruppa, Jr., age 63, loving husband of Anne Murphy Kruppa and father of Dylan Kruppa, passed away at his home surrounded by family on July 12, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born in Torrington to Roberta Valli Kruppa and Paul F. Kruppa, Sr.  He attended Sacred Heart School, was a 1977 graduate of Torrington High School and in 1981, received a degree from the University of Vermont.

Paul was a devoted husband and father and also a dedicated son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. Always a hard worker, Paul had an engaging personality that served him well both personally and professionally. He was funny, entertaining, witty and had the ability to talk with people from all walks of life and make them laugh or smile. His interests were diverse and included cooking, art, fly-fishing and sports, especially news pertaining to the Yankees and Giants, his favorite teams. One of Paul’s greatest qualities was his genuine concern for others and he could often be found helping his friends and family, whatever their needs. It was not unusual for Paul to express his care by cooking for others, to the delight of the family and friends who were recipients of his meals.

During his life Paul had different occupations but he was always self-employed. One of his most memorable jobs was as co-owner of Harwinton Center Store which he and his sister Donna owned and operated for nine years. Together, Paul and Donna brought much happiness to their customers with their warm personalities and their commitment to service.

In addition to his wife and son, Paul is survived by his father, Paul F. Kruppa, Sr., his brother Roger Kruppa and sister-in-law Joy Kruppa, his sister Gail Kruppa and brother-in-law Mark McEachern, his brother-in-law Robert Gioiele and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Lisa Murphy as well as several nephews and a niece.
