Paul Follert

Paul Follert, 94, of New Hartford, CT, peacefully passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at his home with this family by his side.   He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Athorn for 69 years, and who preceded him in death on October 30, 2019.

Paul was born March 2, 1926, in New Hartford, CT, the son of the late Vincent and Florence (Smith) Follert.  He honorably served his country with the US Army, and later was employed by O&G Industries as a Crane Operator until his retirement.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Follert, William Follert both of New Hartford, CT; two daughters, Deborah Etchegary of Torrington and Colleen Follert of New Hartford, CT; one brother, Vincent Follert of New Hartford, CT; two sisters, Eileen Roy of New Hartford, CT, Mildred Neri of Torrington, CT; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
