Nancy L. (Hamlin) Rakyta

Nancy L. (Hamlin) Rakyta, 83, of New Hartford, CT, passed away December 14, 2022, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  She was the wife of Robert Rakyta.

Nancy was born December 19, 1938, in New York City.  She owned and operated a children’s day care for many years.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by one son, Kenneth Fracasso of New Hartford; two brothers, Raymond Birden of Torrington, CT, John Birden of Harwinton, CT; two sisters, Joyce Millard of Colebrook, CT, Darlene Alfano, Ivoryton, CT; six grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Harry Fracasso, Thomas Fracasso, one daughter, Susan Fracasso Young, one sister, Loretta Roy, and one step-brother, Bill Birden.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
