Nancy Elizabeth Conway

Nancy Elizabeth Conway, born on May 22, 1934, passed away peacefully at her home in Plymouth, CT on September 25, 2026, at the age of 92. 

Nancy was the daughter of the late Harold Conway and Mary S. Conway.  She was predeceased by her brother William and his wife Patricia R. Conway of Stamford.  She was also predeceased by a special person, Richard Kiely.  Nancy is survived by her nieces Dr. Jane Conway of Philadelphia, Bridget Conway of Norwalk, CT, nephew William Conway and his family of Stamford, CT, as well as many cousins including Michael F. Conway of Plymouth, CT.  She also leaves warmly loved and is deeply indebted to friends, Sue Ann Genovese, Stephen and Lynn Norton and son Patrick and his wife Denise, Chester and Jessica Scoville, Jayne Hotchkiss and an exceptionally competent caregiver Liz Vega.

Nancy was a proud and dedicated 36 year educator in the Plymouth School System.  She was a graduate of Thomaston High School, Danbury State Teacher's College and earned her Master's Degree from the University of Hartford.

Nancy was involved and active in community affairs, serving on the Plymouth Library Board, the Terryville Board of Fire Commissioners, and the Plymouth Board of Public Health among others.  She was a communicant of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Thomaston.

In retirement her greatest pleasures were shopping, mowing lawns, dining out and driving her new car.  

Funeral serves will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT to St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, 1 East Main St., Thomaston, CT 06787 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
