Myrna (Jamieson) Fredericks

Myrna (Jamieson) Fredericks, 79, formally of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital.
Myrna was born November 25, 1937, in Summerside, Prince Edward Island Canada. She was the daughter of the late Ronald and Anna (Ramsay) Jamieson.
Myrna led a full and active life. She enjoyed her work as secretary to Trinity Church. She was an avid golfer and artist working both with watercolors and oils as well as with glass and in sculpture. Renovating her home in Canada was a rewarding experience. She loved her dogs, Queenie and Roco.
She is survived by one son, Joseph F. Fredericks II (Vicki) of Ashland, ME; two daughters, April Martin (Paul) of Killingworth, CT and Samantha Fredericks of Torrington, CT; one brother, Alex Jamieson of Simsbury, CT; one sister, Susan LaPenta (Jerry) of Harwinton, CT; six grandchildren, Gretchen O’Hara, Jamieson Polisky, Dylan Fredericks, Jerome Fredericks, Carly Fredericks and Lydia Mayerjak; three great grandchildren, Savannah, Maggie and Jonathan O’Hara as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington Friday, May 12, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 8:00 p.m.
