Muriel May (Anderson) McCane, 86, of Torrington, CT, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017, at Litchfield Woods. She was the beloved wife of the late George McCane.
Muriel was born June 30, 1931, in Ballston Spa, NY, daughter of the late Kenneth and Hannah (Stewart) Anderson. She was employed by Caldor Department Store in Retail Sales until her retirement.
She is survived by three children, Phyllis E. Johnson (David) of Winsted, CT, John K. McCane (Linda) of Torrington, CT, Cindy L. Viarengo (John) of Torrington, CT; ten grandchildren, David, Dennis, Gregory and Timothy Johnson, Tara and Meagan McCane, Christopher, Jason, Justin and Nicholas Viarengo, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, James E. McCane and one brother, Howard Ramsden.
