Mary Margaret (Dube) Neddermann

April 11, 1924 — May 23, 2014

Mary Margaret Neddermann, 90, of Harwinton, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on May 23, 2014. She was the wife of the late Arthur Neddermann.

Mary was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 11, 1924 to the late Margaret and Herve Dube. She attended St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in Bridgeport and Catholic University in Washington, D.C.  She worked as a registered nurse at Winsted Memorial Hospital until her retirement. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Mary cherished spending time with her family and friends at her Lake Harwinton home. In her lifetime, she enjoyed many artistic hobbies, gardening, knitting, reading, and a good game of cribbage. Mary and Art loved to travel and shared many great adventures around the world.

She is survived by her children; Joseph and JoAnn Neddermann of Torrington, David and Kim Neddermann of Prospect, John and Holly Neddermann of Canton, JoAnn and Kevin Keenan of Terryville, and Karen and Scott Stow of Rye, New Hampshire, as well as her grandchildren; Sarah, Audrey, Christopher, Haley, Jeffrey, Erin, Emily, Alaina, Ericka, and great granddaughter, Cora. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Johnson of Harwinton and her caregiver and companion, Atta Akowuah. She was predeceased by her brother Albert Dube.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart  of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Road, Harwinton, CT.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Hospice at Home, Torrington Hospice Team, 65 Commercial Blvd. Torrington, CT 06790.
