Mario J. Balestro, 86, of Torrington, CT passed away December 13, 2022.
Mario was born March 11, 1936, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Angelo and Grace (Albino) Balestro. He honorably served his country with the US Air Force. A mechanic by trade, Mario enjoyed fixing and repairing all things … he was known as “Mr. Fixit”.
Mario is survived by one sister, Eleanor Vesentin of Cheshire, CT as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Angelina DeAchetis.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis New Cemetery, Torrington, CT. Full military honors will be accorded. There are no calling hours.
