Marie West

Marie Ann (Barucci) West of Meriden, CT passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. Born on December 23, 1932, Marie was the daughter of the late William and Mary Barucci.

Marie was a graduate of Meriden High School Class of 1951 and graduated as a licensed practical nurse from Eli Whitney in 1969, working in the nursing field until 1979. She managed a limousine service with her husband in Florida prior to returning to Connecticut where she worked as a sales representative for All-Med Health Care, Inc. in Wallingford, retiring in 2010.

She enjoyed spending time with her son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and frequent trips to the casino, boating, knitting, reading shopping, and helping her family and friends.

Marie was predeceased by her husband, John West, and her brothers, William Barucci, Jr., and Donald Barucci.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Barucci of Wallingford, her son Mark Papallo and his wife Shirley of Torrington; her grandchildren Adam M. Papallo and his wife Eunyoung of Lexington, MA and Robert M. Papallo of Torrington, CT; great grandchildren Alysia Papallo, Louis Papallo, Jaxson Papallo and Nico Papallo; nieces and nephews Robert Barucci, Jr.; Karen Barucci, Michael Barucci, Diane Barucci and Dean Barucci.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Cherry Brook Healthcare for the exceptional car she received there. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association of CT.
