Louise (Guarnieri) Binelli

Louise (Guarnieri) Binelli, 90, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born November 7, 1932, in Lugagnano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Adele (Castignola) Guarnieri.  She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Luigi, brothers, Alfredo and Dante, sisters Guilda, Maria, Anna and Rita, and her much loved cousin and friend, Mae Bonvicini.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Armando and his wife Michele, David and his wife Michelle; grandchildren Brian, Daniel and Radi Zinoviev, Dante, Maia; step-grandchildren Arielle and James, Joceline and Stephen, Matthew, Adam and Janelle; step-great grandchildren Ethan, Ava, Brooklynn, Juliette, and Autumn.

Louise was an extraordinary woman.  She was kind, compassionate and forgiving.  She looked for the best in others.  She lived a life of deep devotion to faith, to her family and to her church.  She was a hard worker, employed by St. Peter Church for over 40 years, recently retiring in her 90th year.

She enjoyed cooking for her family, tending to her vegetable garden, and watching UConn men and women’s basketball.  She loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church, (St. John Paul the Great Parish), 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT.  Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.
