Linda L. Tanner

Linda L. (Ernest) Tanner, 79, of Torrington, CT, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 9, 1947, in Mt. Kisco, NY, the daughter of the late William Ernest and Catherine "Kay" (Lovallo-Ernest) Balzano of Brewster NY and Fort Pierce FL.

Linda was loving and devoted to her family and close friends. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandchildern and great granddaughter along with her family and extended family. She enjoyed crocheting beautiful things, coloring and taking care of her fur babies.

She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Tanner of Torrington CT; a son, Thomas Tanner of Torrington CT; granddaughter, Kristina Hailstones and great granddaughter, Mia Hailstones (Thrall) of Torrington CT; grandson, Dylan Tanner of Concord NC. Along with several cousins, niece, nephew and step family. She was preceded in death by her sister Karen (Ernest) Oliviero; a niece Dina (Oliviero) Canarozzi and Step father Ralph Balzano.

Linda will be deeply missed everyday until we meet again in Heaven.
