Lillian Torizzo

Lillian (Deranzo) Torizzo, 94, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Torizzo.
Lillian was born September 27, 1921, in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late James and Josephine (Williams) Deranzo.
A very active member for many years of the Sullivan Senior Center, she enjoyed participating in all of their activities, which included travelling, playing cards, WI bowling and singing with the Silver Bells and Beaux. Lillian enjoyed volunteering and being with her friends at the Center. She also had a passion for painting landscape art, which she enjoyed at Artwell.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Benvenuti and son-in-law John of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Torizzo; three grandchildren, Trisha Torizzo, Sharon Torizzo, and Jerod Dykeman; one great grandson, Michael Torizzo. She was preceded in death by her son, James Torizzo, and her sister, Norma Dombrowski.
