Judith A. (Lemme) Jernigan

Judith A. (Lemme) Jernigan, 73, of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Jernigan.

Judy was born on July 1, 1948, in Danbury, CT, the daughter of the late Frank and Muriel (Davis) Lemme.  She was a receptionist at Litchfield Woods Healthcare until her retirement.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Keith Jernigan and one daughter, Sandra Phair and her husband Scott Phair, Sr., all of Torrington; one brother, Warren Lemme of St. Augustine, FL; two sisters, Debra Testa of Jacksonville, FL, Priscilla Mancuso of Danbury, CT; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Fannie.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.  There are no calling hours.
