J. Peter Carbone, Jr.

J. Peter Carbone, Jr., 77, of Canton, CT, formerly of Hebron, CT peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Cherry Brook.  He was the husband of Judith (Waltos) Carbone for 48 years.

Peter was born June 17, 1946, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Jane (Weigold) and Joseph Carbone, Sr.  After serving his country with the U.S. Army, he was employed by the State of Connecticut, Homeland Security.  He enjoyed being a Ham Radio Operator and was a member of the American Radio Relay League.

In addition to his wife Judith of New Hartford, CT, he is survived by two daughters, Kate Brainard (Rob) of Barkhamsted, CT, Melanie Voelker (Joe) of Girard, PA and two grandchildren, Jacob and Isabella Brainard.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Metro of Litchfield, CT.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home, Torrington, CT.
