Joshua T. Paniati

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Joshua Tyler Paniati. Josh, age 37, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Torrington on May 12, 2026. Joshua was born on January 22, 1989, and was raised in Torrington. Josh was a loving, caring and soulful individual who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Joshua is survived by his father Clayton Paniati and wife Kathy of Burlington, mother Linda (Patterson) Harper of Danbury, beloved sister Alyssa Paniati of Barkhamsted, grandmother Claudia Paniati of Torrington, step brother Cody Varkal and his wife Natalie of Bristol, step sister Halle Wagner and her fiancé Jon of Newington, supportive and loving aunt and uncle Vivian and Michael Irwin of Barkhamsted, close cousins Christina and Catherine, along with several other cousins, and many close friends.

Josh loved and cared deeply for all who loved and cared about him. He was a warm presence, a listening ear, and offered support to so many. He will be so deeply missed.

There will be no calling hours at this time. Services and a celebration of life will be held later at the discretion of the immediate family.
