Joseph C. DiLullo, 92, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was the beloved husband of Maria DiLullo.
Joe was born March 23, 1929, in Montebello, Sul Sangro, Italy. He was the chef and co-owner of The Venetian Restaurant.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter in law, Michael and Laura DiLullo of Farmington, CT; four brothers, Umberto DiLullo of Rome, Antonio DiLullo of Rome, Oreste DiLullo of Venice, Ciriaco DiLullo of Rome; one sister, Filomena; two grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT to St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Peter Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home. All attending the Mass are required to wear protective face masks while inside of the church, and are requested to wear protective face masks while attending calling hours.
