Joseph V. Cianciolo, 79, of Torrington, CT, went home to heaven on April 28, 2021.
POP served in the navy as part of the SeaBees MCB-7 During The Cuban Missile Crisis in Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba. He also served faithfully as part of the Torrington Honor Guard. As he served at other’s funerals for so many years, we will come to celebrate Joe’s life at the Northwest Hills Community Church (Formerly The Calvary Baptist Church) at 342 Prospect Street, Torrington, CT.
Joe leaves behind, wife, Patricia of 56 years. Two Sons, Peter and Scott, Scott’s wife, Theresa. Grandchildren: J. R., Amy, David, Gabriel, Alex, Sammy, Nicholas, and Spencer. Pop also leaves behind seven great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Pop leaves behind sisters, Annette and Patra. He was preceded by His brother, Richard and Mother, Beatrice and Father, Fabiano.
Calling Hours will begin at The Northwest Hills Community Church from 9:30 am - 11:00 am on Tuesday May 4, 2021, with Celebration of Life Service to begin promptly following calling hours. All attending funeral services are reminded to follow CDC recommendations for COVID prevention. Flowers may be sent to the Northwest Hills Community Church, donations may be sent to The Veterans Service Office 140 Main St., Torrington, CT 06790. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the medical staff at Hartford Hospital.
