Jean P. (Morro) Nilsson, 74, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Albert A. Nilsson.
Jean was born February 6, 1942, in Portsmouth, NH, daughter of the late Joseph and Joanna (Carisio) Morro.
She is survived by three children, Robert J. Nilsson (Mary Margaret) of New Hartford, Alan T. Nilsson (Julie Ann) of Torrington, Tracy A. Sabia (Paul) of Torrington; one brother, James Morro (Marie) of Torrington; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and her longtime companion Mel Pronga.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
