Janice Ann White

Janice Ann White, 73, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on July 7, 2026, in Torrington, CT.

Born on January 12, 1953, in New London, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Abbott White and Elizabeth (Hatch) White. Janice grew up in Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk High School with the Class of 1971.

A woman of deep faith, Janice was a devoted member of the Episcopal Church and found great comfort and strength in her faith.  She loved reading the Bible, attending church, and spending time immersed in nature, where she found peace and beauty.  Janice had a kind and compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.  She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and love and kindness she shared with everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Benjamin (Mariah) Mager and Daniel Mager; her cherished grandchildren, Aurora, Kiara, and Tristan Mager; and her siblings, Margaret (Abe) Phillips, Joan Tangney, and David (Kathleen) White.

In addition to her parents, Janice was predeceased by her beloved infant daughter, Elizabeth Mager and her uncle Charles Hatch.

Janice's family will forever cherish the memories of her faith-filled life, her caring heart, and the quiet joy she found in God's creation.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours.  Interment will be held privately.
