Henry  “Toot” S. Dzinski passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2016 surrounded by family.  He was born on July 6, 1927 in Torrington, CT the youngest child of Stephen and Tessie Dzinski.  He was predeceased by his parents, his siblings Leona, Henriette and Ernest, and his wives Lois (37 years) and Claire (23 years).

Henry grew up on Red Mountain Avenue, attended Torrington High School and the Milwaukee School of Engineering.  In 1945 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown at the end of World War II.

In the late 1940’s he met Lois Morrissey and they were married on September 30, 1950.  They moved to Farmington in 1963 where they raised their 4 children.  Henry worked throughout his life in the construction industry building houses, and at Tilcon-Tomasso(35 years) until his retirement.  When he lost Lois he was lucky enough to find love again and marry Claire DeMichael Renzullo with whom he shared his life until her death in 2012.

Henry is survived by his son Mike and his wife Susan of Rangely, Maine, Jane Dzinski-Farrell of Torrington, Lynn Dzinski of Unionville and Gail Morrissey of Sturbridge, MA.  Grandchildren John, Jaime and Jillian Farrell, Clare Courter and Elizabeth Vitarelli.  Great grandchildren Destiny, Donte and Jamilla and many nieces and nephews.  Also surviving him are stepchildren Angela Renzullo, Joanne Thiede and husband John, Lisa Frascarelli and husband Peter, and David Renzullo and wife Nancy.  Step grandchildren Nathan, Lauren, Christopher, Paul and Anthony.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Rd., Harwinton, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
