Frederick A. Weik, 93, of Litchfield, CT, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Adrienne (Chartier) Weik for 37 years.
Fred was born June 4, 1926, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Frederick and Lottie (Hallock) Weik. He served his country with the US Army. After his Honorable Discharge, he was employed by P.T. C. Aerospace with their product support and inspection department until his retirement.
Fred was a volunteer for the Bantam Fire Company, a member of the Eastern Star as well as a member of the Masons. He was a member of the Litchfield Hills Historical Automobile Club, and was an avid car collector, and made a race car with his friend, Al Fretts. His prize possession was a Model A. He enjoyed playing guitar and also collecting various antiques.
In addition to his wife Adrienne, he is survived by a brother Herb Weik, daughter Michelle Weik, son Barry Weik and his friend Paige Smart, daughter Maureen Bellmay and husband Todd, step-son Don Holbrook. Grandchildren Aaron Weik, Emily Fenn, Tasha Officer, Landon Bellmay, Brandan Holbrook, Lindsay Shea, Matthew Holbrook, Delia Holbrook, Crystal Holbrook, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by step daughters Nancy and Susan Holbrook and Grandson Alexander Weik.
Fred’s family would like to extend special thanks to niece Jill Patrillo, his aid TJ, Regal Care.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 837 Charles St., Torrington, CT 06790. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Memorial Garden with full military honors accorded.
