Frank T. Romaniello, Jr.

Frank T. Romaniello, Jr. 84, formerly of Torrington, CT, died March 20, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center in South Carolina. He was born on December 12, 1941, and was the husband of the late Anna (LaFrance) Romaniello, and the son of the late Frank and Elsie (Caine) Romaniello. 

Frank was known as Dad, Papa, Mr. Frank, and lastly Porch Creeper. He served his country with the U.S. Army and was employed by the Regional 10 School System as a Head Custodian until his retirement at the age of 75.  He then went back to work for a couple years in South Carolina schools.  He loved his job as a custodian.  While working at the Harwinton Elementary School he was known to sing out loud while cleaning and would sing Happy Birthday to students as well as teachers. Before his workday began, he would bring a flower and sing the songs "I Believe" and then also Happy Birthday.  Everyone looked forward to this.   He also would clean the church, two days a week as well as other things to help the Pastor out.  

Frank is survived by his daughter, Anna Tercyak and her husband Mike of Bristol, CT, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He also leaves behind two brothers: William Romaniello of Torrington, CT, and Kenneth Romaniello and his wife Paula of Winsted, CT as well as several nieces and nephews. Frank also leaves a son, Wayne Romaniello of SC. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marvin A. Romaniello, a grandson Jonathon Starr, and four brothers. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Harvest Baptist Church, 1440 Litchfield Turnpike Rd., New Hartford, CT 06057.  Burial will be private.  There are no calling hours.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at the Harvest Baptist Church.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harvest Baptist Church.

Frank loved the Lord and wanted others to love God also.
