Elaine A. Turri

Elaine A. Turri, a beloved member of the Torrington community, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026. Born and raised in Torrington, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Aline (Mougenot) Waltos.

A proud graduate of Torrington High School, Elaine went on to dedicate a significant portion of her career to the UCONN Health Center of Farmington.

Elaine is survived by her cherished daughter, Kendra Turri of Torrington, and her dear sister, Leonore Patterson of Litchfield,, several great nieces and great nephews, as well as many cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger (Lorraine) and Howard (Kathleen) Waltos.

Known for her passion for fine cooking and her talent for decorating, Elaine also made a difference as a longtime volunteer for the Torrington Beautification Committee and the Audubon Society. Her unwavering dedication to enhancing the beauty of her community and promoting environmental conservation endeared her to many.

Elaine's Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Alvord Memorial Chapel at Hillside Cemetery, 76 Walnut Street, Torrington, with Msgr. Robert F. Tucker officiating.
