Torrington, Connecticut

Dorothy Ann (Hoban) Tonon, 89, was called home to God on July 2nd, 2025. She passed away peacefully after having a bout of illness at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, in Torrington, where Dottie was surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Dorothy was born February 29th, 1936, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Daughter of the late Patrick and Theresa (Dremo) Hoban. Dorothy and her family moved to Torrington where she went to school at St. Francis of Assisi School, then going on to then take classes at the local college. Dottie was employed by Auto World as a secretary until her retirement. She was a communicant at St. John Paul the Great Parish.

Dottie loved her husband more than anything, after 68 years of marriage. It was truly something very special in today’s world.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Hubbard and her husband Farley of Colebrook. Her three grandchildren. Elaina Puzinski of Torrington, Elizabeth Puzinski of Hartford and Daniel Cusati of Winsted. In addition to her husband and parents she was pre-deceased in death by one daughter, Nancy Puzinski and two brothers Patrick Hoban and Richard Hoban.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday July 11, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis New Cemetery. There will not be any calling hours.
